Free Online Statistics Textbooks

Statistics is the study of the collection, organization, analysis and interpretation of data. It is one of those academic disciplines that crosses a wide range of subjects. Most scientific researchers rely upon statistics to study trends, averages and progressions.

Statistics is primarily a math discipline that has become a tool for measuring the activities of numerous other fields of study. There are some that consider statistics to be its own field of study, rather than a branch of mathematics. To my way of thinking, if the prerequisites for taking statistics courses are basic mathematics and algebra, then statistics would fall under the mathematics umbrella.

Rather than embed free statistics textbooks all over Online Degree Discussion, I made the executive decision that even if they are designed for social or physical sciences students, they will be included here under the mathematics textbook section of my site..
