Online Degree Value

online degree equals on campus degree Just like the two sides of a single leaf, a degree from an accredited college or university's online program is just as valuable as one earned on campus.

There won't be an asterisk on your diploma or transcript that informs a potential employer that "By the way, this degree was obtained through one of our online programs and is slightly inferior to one earned by attending classes on campus."

Same Degree for A Lot Less

As we discussed in an article about How earning an online degree is cheaper, your financial investment is significantly less than the students who attended courses online. When you recieve your first paycheck for work performed in your new field, your online degree's value will start building a return on your investment quicker than those earned on-campus.

More Value for Your Educational Investment

Your earning potential will not in any way be diminished and you will have far less of an investment to recoup. In some ways, you may have even worked harder for your degree than the traditional students. After all, you were most likely employed full time and running a household when the traditional students only had to worry about getting to class on time and showing up in the chow hall before all the good pie was gone.

When it's all said and done; you both learned the same lessons, took the same tests and rightfully have the same academic credentials.

Truth be told, if you were indeed working a full-time job while you were taking your online degree courses, you might be more valuable to employers than the traditional students. Unlike them, you'll also have proven that you can budget your time as well as be responsible. Plus you might already have gained experience working in your chosen field of study!
